GOVERNOR OSHIOMHOLE ACCUSES PDP OF BATTERING THE ECONOMY

Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole
(NAN)

Governor Adams Oshiomhole has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of battering Nigeria’s economy.

He also asked Nigerians to bear with President Buhari adding that it will take time to solve the problem PDP caused in 16 years.

Oshiomhole added that the current administration is working round the clock to see that lives are improved.

The Governor said “Changes takes time, not only in the life of a person but more also in the life of a nation. This is a country that was ran down for 16 years by PDP. The APC government is going to achieve sincere change for Nigerians and we are working towards that.”

He also said “Even now that the umbrella has turned into three pieces, they are still boasting. When Edo was under one man’s rule, those voices were loud, they would have told you whether or not there is vacancy in Osadebey Avenue. As you can see working together, strategizing together, mobilizing together, for refusing to agonize we are standing and they are down.

“There is no way I would have been able to achieve all these without the encouragement that you (Ihonvbere) have always readily offered in a moment of doubt when we were strategizing.”

Adams Oshiomhole also said the current hard economic situation in Nigeria will soon be over for the best.

"I am confused at what to say right now. Ojb today July 4th was the day you were born. I would have loved to say happy birthday, but instead of planning to come celebrate with you, we are busy planning for your funeral.
It is one of those curve balls life throws at you. We just have to keep on living and appreciate the fact that God has kept us till today. Ojb, I was honored to have met you. AHMED MUSA TO SIGN FOR LEICESTER CITY

English champions Leicester City are set to break their record transfer fee for the second time in a matter of days by buying Nigerian international attacking midfielder Ahmed Musa, his agent told the BBC on Monday.

The 23-year-old, who scored a brace for Nigeria in a 3-2 defeat of Lionel Messi's Argentina at the 2014 World Cup, will see his present side Russian outfit CSKA Moscow receive £16.6 million (S$29.7 million) - a record outlay for Leicester.

"Everything has been finalised and Musa will be in England for his medical on Wednesday," Musa's agent Tony Harris told BBC Sport.

Musa's soon to be former coach Leonid Slutsky said the Nigerian - who scored 53 goals in 161 matches for CSKA since joining them in 2012 - would be ideal for the Premier League.

"If you look at the way things are done over there you'll see he is a player just made for English football," Slutsky said.

According to the BBC, Musa rejected the advances of Leicester's rivals Southampton, Everton and West Ham.
